Things to know about epoxy flooring

When putting down epoxy flooring, always make sure that the area is clean and slightly porous to adhere correctly.  It cannot be bonded to polished or sealed concrete and the concrete has to be fully cured.  Make sure that any major chips or cracks are patched and repaired before putting the flooring down.  You also need to make sure there is no grease on the floor. Follow are the manufacturing recommendations and be sure that the temperature is suitable to apply the flooring.  The temperatures should be higher than 55 degrees.  You do have to mix the epoxy and once it is mixed you only have a short time to apply it before it begins to harden and becomes useless.
